Student Feedback: April

Last week I started my ITEC Reflexology course and picking out what I found the most enjoyable or most interesting is near on impossible. I loved everything!!! Rishi is so relaxed and so reassuring, Corina is just lovely and David! So intelligent, spiritual, funny, reassuring … and so knowledgeable about pretty much everything! Thinking really hard and trying to find my favourite parts, I’d have to break it into 3:
1. The amazing people I have met and already feel an incredibly close bond with. We all have our own reasons for choosing this course, and each reason is so unique and gives me so much admiration for each and every one of them. I can’t wait to go on this journey with them.
2. The amount I have learnt in such a short space of time. I am so inspired and so excited and have already been practicing the techniques on my family – they weren’t thrilled with me drawing on their feet but I so desperately wanted to show off what I had learned! Did you know, your gall bladder is in your right foot?!
3. I gained confidence and self belief this weekend at a time I really didn’t think I could.

I CANNOT wait for our next session!! Although need to swot up on my anatomy and physiology – especially mitosis!! Oh and need to make sure I drink plenty of water because David can tell if we are dehydrated just by looking at our feet! Emma MacDonald

I found the first two days of the course very exciting and informative, learning about what the next few months would entail.

My favourite part was learning the different techniques of massage and then first putting them into practice. Bizzy Arnott

On a whole, the first two days of the training allowed me to meet a whole range of new people. All of whom come from different backgrounds of careers, all with their own amazing experiences. The atmosphere was so positive and inviting, all the staff Dr. David Godfrey, Rishi S Loatey including Carina are really helpful. I knew that this course would be very enjoyable indeed. Yet, one of the things that I liked the most about training was learning from Dr. David Godfrey who tough us from his own personal experiences, allowing me to have a more first-hand and in-depth learning experience. Furthermore, this is the first time I have taken part in a training that is reflexology. It amazes me how intricate the topic is, and how useful it can be in its infinite uses and applications. Naz Asif

The most enjoyable thing on the first 2 days of the Holistic Massage course was how I got an understanding of the primordial importance of learning the massage techniques (particularly some of the massage strokes as Effleurage and Petrissage) together with Anatomy & Physiology and in learning these, how I can potentially impact and be a positive influencer of people’s health and wellbeing. This course will give me the tools and knowledge to help friends, family and others to release their body from tension, toxins and diminish stress. All these, combine with meeting a lovely and encourage group of teachers & other students, made my weekend! 😀 Susana Cunha

The first two days on my reflexology course have been really exciting. I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone and chosen to start a new chapter in my life after 27 years in the airline industry.
It has been many years since I have been in a classroom environment so I was not feeling the most confident on that first day, but Rishi and David presented a very welcoming environment and I really loved the confidence they shared in believing that my class will all pass our course. It was also lovely to meet Corina and put a face to the lovely lady I spoke to on the phone when I joined the course at such short notice.
I have met a lovely group of people, each with their own reason for being in the class and I’m looking forward to learning with them all. Getting ‘hands on’ took away my nervousness and filled me with confidence. I will say that it’s very hard to pick one thing that I liked the most as I enjoyed the whole day from beginning to end, so much so, that when I left the class at the end of the day I was absolutely buzzing with excitement. Suzanne Stansbury

What I find most enjoyable about the massage course, is the level of practical knowledge and education it teaches us, IT IS LIKE GIVING CANDY TO A BABY, YOU JUST CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF IT!!! The tutors training is Phenomenal, they are empowering and verySupportive!!!
Rock on Richdale!!! Satwinda Dhaliwal

What a brilliant start to the course. My first 2 days were both terrific, terrifying and totally reassuring.

Reassuring in the sense that I felt, for the first time, in a very long time, that I was finally on the right journey. It felt like I was in the right place, doing the right thing, at the right time. How lucky is that.

Hearing everyone’s stories and reasons for taking on this course were both humbling and uplifting and I genuinely felt moved and encouraged to move forwards with more of a brave and open heart and mind.

Terrifying – because I am pretty sure that my brain is never going to retain all this information but I do hope that by some grace of goodness it will seep in and stay there. The way everything is laid out for you to learn is so supportive and thoughtful, and there is a genuine belief that ‘you can and you will’ do this!

Terrific- because how terrific it is to be learning and sucking up the knowledge and experience of the tutors on the course. I am so so looking forward to embracing this next stage in my life.

Everyone from Corina in the office, to Dr Rishi to David have nothing but positivity and passion to pass on. Emma Knight

Just started a course in reflexology, amazing group of people as so are the Tutors . This is a complete change in direction to what I’ve been used used to so I’m looking at it as a new chapter and adventure in my life . Cant wait for the next lesson. Tracey Clark

What I loved most about last Saturday and Sunday was just how much I actually enjoyed giving reflexology, the weird sensations of connecting and just exactly which parts of the foot match to which body part. So fascinating and I can’t wait to learn more. I will also never be able to stop a smirk whenever I see someone scratching the end of their knows after David explained what they are really scratching!  Vikki Hyam

Hi, for me what was most enjoyable in the 2 first days of the course was the practical day, when we got to practice on each other… it was fun and very interesting to start to learn about the feet and areas on the feet connected to the body… also how many actions have a name… I liked in particular “the Prayer” when you in a way pull out the negative energy from the toes and foot and throw/shake it out… Miyuki Smith Khanna
