Advanced Reflexology Techniques

Although there will be a brief review of anatomy and physiology this Course is of a highly practical nature the majority of the day will be spent on identifying reflexes and looking at a variety of techniques for effectively locating and working reflexes of the nervous system (particularly the location of the spinal column and spinal nerves) and all the endocrine glands.

Deeper working techniques will be explored in addition to more gentle, balancing ones providing the practitioner with effective treatment tools that can be applied to a variety of different clients.

Facial Reflexology

During this course you will learn safe and effective treatments for specific problems using Facial Reflexology Techniques. This treatment can be used as a stand-alone therapy, or as an additional set of tools and techniques that can be applied to various Therapies including Indian Head Massage, Holistic/Swedish Massage or Aromatherapy.

You will also learn how to carry out a stimulating Facial Massage sequence that can be used to enhance the treatment, used to stimulate you, the practitioner, first thing in the morning or be given to the client for their benefit.

During this course you will learn safe and effective reflexology techniques allowing you to work confidently when treating both a woman and man trying to conceive.  You will also gain a deeper understanding of potential pre-conception issues.

You will be learn specific beneficial reflex areas to help when treating a woman and man with pre-conception challenges.

Reflexology and Pregnancy

During this course you will learn safe and effective reflexology techniques allowing you to work confidently when treating a pregnant woman.  You will gain a deeper understanding of pregnancy, holistic pre-natal care and how to safely adapt you reflexology techniques.

You will be taught specific reflexology techniques, as well as, contra-indications and precautions for each trimester.   You will also learn beneficial reflex areas to aid specific common problems during pregnancy.

Emergency First Aid at Work – for the Complementary Medicine Practitioner

What would you do if your client suffered a medical emergency during a treatment ?

Employers, clinics and local councils are increasingly requiring Complementary Medicine Practitioners to hold a valid HSE compliant First Aid qualification in order to work at their premises.

Completing the course will give you a recognised first aid qualification which is compliant with HSE First Aid at Work Regulations (1981) allowing you to carry out first aid in the workplace and providing relevant certification and documentation.

Please note that due to the nature of this Course there will be a maximum of 12 students per teacher.

Hot and Cold Stone Reflexology is one way in which you can protect your hands and joints and enhance the quality of the Reflexology treatment you provide for your client. It is also a therapy that can be used to treat specific problems your clients may present with. With the advent of portable heating bags this therapy is now also ideal for mobile therapists

Learning to use Hot and Cold Stones to carry out a Reflexology treatment helps the client relax faster as well as helping the Reflexologist work on a deeper level with the client
