Ayurvedic Foot and Hand Massage can be easily integrated into an existing Reflexology or Massage or routine or performed as a treatment in it’s own right.
You will learn a full sequence of Ayurvedic Foot Massage incorporating Marma points found on the foot and lower leg and a full sequence of Ayurvedic Hand Massage incorporating Marma points found on the hand and forearm.
You will also learn how to work the Marma points effectively to help with specific disorders.
Ayurveda, meaning the knowledge of life, is a timeless wisdom passed down from the sages of ancient India. Massage is an integral part of Ayurveda and this course aims to teach the traditional techniques which incorporate eastern pressure points used to give a therapeutic treatment. Before giving Ayurvedic Foot and Hand Massage, it is important to understand the body type of the individual and the properties and characteristics of the Ayurvedic oils.
With more than 7000 nerve endings in the feet and hands these areas can be worked effectively helping physical and mental wellbeing.
This is mainly a practical course and there will be a maximum of only 10 students on the Course.
This Course certifies for 7 hours of group learning.
Understand and be able to determine individual mind-body constitution types of your clients and use an Ayurvedic body type assessment tool.
Understand the Chakra system & Marma point theory.
Perform a full Ayurvedic Foot Massage and full Ayurvedic Hand Massage.
Locate and effectively work Marma points on the feet and hands to help with specific disorders.
Choose specific Ayurvedic oils and adapt Ayurvedic Massage techniques according to your client’s constitution.
You must be a qualified Reflexologist, Massage therapist, Aromatherapist or Manual therapist (Level 3 or above) to attend this Course.
