Description

Course Description:

In order to ensure you get the right Indian Head Massage qualification (and don’t have any problems with the recognition of your Indian Head Massage qualification in the future) our Indian Head Massage Courses follow the latest ITEC QCF (Qualifications Credit Framework) syllabus which was introduced by the UK Government in September 2009 (and revised in September 2012).

This means that when the Government establishes a National Register for Complementary Medicine your qualification in Indian Head Massage will be automatically recognised and you are able to work within the National Health Sector.   Once qualified you will be able to join any of the leading professional associations and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council.

indian head massageYou will learn how to perform a full Indian Head Massage treatment confidently incorporating all the classical Massage techniques , so that you can practise professionally as solo practitioner or as a member of a team in a multidisciplinary setting.

You will learn the principles of Ayurvedic medicine, how to assess the Ayurvedic Doshas and the benefits of Ayurvedic Oils.   You will also learn Marma points on the Head and Face as well as performing and adapting Indian Head Massage techniques correctly and safely to meet the individual needs of your client.

You will be able to confidently identify factors that may influence your treatment objectives as well as provide clear recommendations to your client.  You will learn when and how to treat a person holistically, and also importantly when not to treat.  You will also learn how to build you professional practise ethically.

You will also be to perform the treatment without any oils so that it can be used as Therapeutic Head, Neck and Shoulder Massage in a corporate environment.  As the treatment does not require any special equipment (apart from an ordinary chair) it is the ideal treatment to take into a working office environment as well as a treatment that can be easily performed at exhibitions, fairs etc … where you may be looking to promote your practice.

Course Structure:

Indian Head Massage Training

Our Indian Head Massage Course has been taught for over 20 years and is continually being updated and refined with the latest developments in the field and feedback from students.

The course is run over 4 Days over 2-3 months to give students enough time to understand the material being taught and perform a full Indian Head Massage treatment competently and professionally.

The first 2 attendance days are closer together so that you have enough of the practical sequence that you can go away and start practising (with the help of our detailed manuals and resources on the virtual learning environment).

The remaining weekends are approximately every 5 weekends to give you the time to practice you Indian Head Massage techniques and undertake your home study.  Over the years we have found that this is the timeframe that works best for most students.

Our Indian Head Massage Class sizes are strictly limited to 12 to ensure that each student receives the individual attention they require to help them learn and succeed.
