We are further pleased to announce that St Christopher’s Hospice are presenting a volunteering opportunity to qualified students of Richdales Institute. Volunteering at St Christopher’s offers many benefits to therapists including the training you will receive as well as the experience of working in a team environment within a professional multi-disciplinary setting. Big congratulations go out to all our February 2014 ITEC Massage and Reflexology students who passed the ITEC exams with excellent results. In particular we must congratulate Izabella who achieved the highest exam mark of 98% and we wish her all the best with her Sports Massage exam in December.

We also want to congratulate all our April 2014 Massage and Aromatherapy students who passed their practical exams and are awaiting the results of their theory exams. We will be in touch with you as soon as your results are in.

World reflexology week, past student story and the benefits of hot stone massage…

September is a busy month at Richdales as we prepare to take on new students on our ITEC Diploma courses starting at the end of the month. The start of the new term is an exciting time for us and students.

With World Reflexology Week running from 22 – 28th of September, we thought we would turn our attention to Reflexology in this edition. We hear from one of our past students, Joanne Glass, who is using Reflexology in a hospital environment to treat stroke patients. Joanne has experienced first-hand the incredible power of Reflexology.

Our CPD courses start at the beginning of October with our Facial Reflexology on Saturday the 4th October and Hot and Cold Stone Massage on Sunday the 5th October. There are a limited number of places available on both of these courses so Get in Touch now if you want to secure your place.

Growth, neck pain strawberries and other May News from Richdales Institute

Our congratulations go out to all our September and November 2013 students who all passed their final ITEC examinations in March and April 2014. The last weekend of April saw us welcome new students on our Diploma courses. We’re excited to help you on your learning journey. Protect Your Body and Other April News from Richdales Institute

It was exam time for many of our students in March. Our September Anatomy & Physiology, Massage and Aromtherapy students sat 37 ITEC Examinations.

Congratulations to all the Massage and Aromatherapy students. Every one of them passed their Practical Examinations. We now await the results of the Theory Examinations.

We’re pleased to announce that the winner of our February Facebook Feedback Competition, for our new students in February, was Evgenia Markove.

Evgenia won a massage table, which we’re sure will be put to good use both during her training and as she pursues her new career in the field of Complementary Medicine.

This past weekend was a busy one for us at Richdales as it saw the start of our Diploma Courses for 2014.

National Heart Month

February is National Heart Month and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, now is a good time to think about our heart. After all, every one of us has one and we need to take care of it, especially given that Coronary Heart Disease is the UK’s single biggest killer!

In this edition we check out interesting results of various research projects that have looked at the effect of different Complementary Therapy treatments on the heart and some of the risk factors that can contribute to Coronary Heart Disease (CHD).
